Suspending a Fader Group
Note:
This feature is specific to
9098i
consoles
ONLY
and is intended as a
Pre-Mix
setup
function
ONLY
and will
NOT
work if there is a
Mix
in memory.
This feature provides the ability to suspend a
Group
, change the level of the
Master Fader
and then
Re-group
the
Master Fader
. This operation is performed in the following
manner:
1. Hold down the
SEL
button of the
Master Fader
.
2. Simultaneously hold down and release a status button on the same
Channel
, don’t
worry about this, the current status of the
Channel
will not change as long as the
SEL
button is held at the same time.
3. The
Master Fader
can now be moved made without any
Slave
movements as long
as the
SEL
button is held.
4. Release the
SEL
button to regroup the fader.
Note:
Due to the operations required, this function is not active when in the
Fader Groups
page.
Adding or Removing Groups after a New Mix
Fader Groups
can be created or modified
“On The Fly”
. However, if there is a
Mix
in
memory when performing an
Ungroup
or
Dissolve
, a
“Copy Master Moves”
dialogue is
presented with a
Yes/No
selector.
Yes
is
destructive
and copies all
Master
moves data across into the
Slave
data, retaining
ALL
level and mute changes.
No
is
non-destructive
and simply detaches the
Slave
from the
Group
, retaining
ONLY
the
Slave
data.
ALL Master
moves are lost.
Example:
A global fade down of everything could be performed by dissolving all
existing
Groups
(with a
Copy
) and then
Re-Grouping
all of the faders to
a single
Group Master
. All existing
Group
fades would be retained and
the faders would follow the new
Master
moves relative to their
Mix
positions.
