There are three buttons associated with
Linear Mix Mode
:

Each click of the
Undo
button returns the current
Mix
to its preceding recording.
Redo
Effectively undoes an
Undo
operation, restoring a version of the current
Mix
you have
Undone
.
Reset
Clears the
Mix Buffers
.
Circular Mix Mode
Select
Circular Mix Mode
by clicking on the toolbar button.
Circular Mix Mode
is a more
sophisticated way of handling the six
Mix Buffers
.
All six buffers are represented in the
Mix Mode
window
by a ring of six segments. When you are using
Circular
Mix Mode
, one buffer must be selected to
Read From
(shown in green) and one to
Write To
(shown in red).
By default the
Read/Write
sequence will proceed
clockwise around the circle. The previous
Buffer
will be
Read
, while the next
Buffer
will be
Written
to, much like
Linear Mix Mode
.
Each of the
Read
and
Write
positions can be set to any of the
Mix Buffers
. Left-clicking a
segment will assign the
Read
position, right-clicking a segment will assign the
Write
position. This means you can
Write
a new version of a
Mix
to any
Mix Buffer
and have it
based on any other pass you’ve tried previously.
There are six buttons associated with
Circular Mix Mode
:
Reset
Clears all of the
Mix Buffers
.
