Technique Print Samples - page 36

Flashing green shows the fader is below the recorded level, flashing red shows the fader is
above the recorded level. When the fader is moved up or down and reaches the point
where both levels are equal, the red LED becomes static and the channel is now in
Write
mode. All further changes in fader level are written directly to the
Mix
.
Pressing the
SEL
switch again invokes a similar condition, only this time the channel is
placed back into
Read
mode at the match point and green LED becomes static.
Online Trim
Click on this toggle button to enable
Online Trim
. The button
turns yellow when active and the
Write Enables
panel is replaced
with the
Online Trim
panel.
The offline
Trim
process (
Mix Processing
) has been extended so
that a fader level can be trimmed whilst timecode is running and
also when the
Mix
is not running at all.
Principle
The principle is to select one or more channels to
Trim
, define
an offset value, set the in/out timecode points, then apply the
trim. The trim is effected ONLY between the specified
timecode points.
Note:
The
Trim
will be applied no matter where you are in the
Mix
. If the current timecode point is beyond the in/out settings
the
Trim
will not be audible!
Channel Selection
Channels to
Trim
can either be selected via the scroll menu or by using the local
SEL
switches. When selected, the channel name is highlighted.
All / None
These buttons respectively select and de-select
ALL
available channels in the list.
Offset Value
This is the actual amount in decibels (0.1dB – 127dB) by which selected channels will be
trimmed.
