Automation Enable Isolate
This mode allows you to
Isolate
a particular switch or level on all
channels from the automation system, either temporarily or for
the duration of the
Mix
.
For example, if the session only requires
Level
and
Mute
automation, you can disable the other switches and only
Level
and
Mutes
will be written to and read from the
Mix
. All other
switches will remain
Isolated
.
Similarly, if you wanted to
Isolate
the faders for a while, but
retain the
Mix
data on those levels, you could
Isolate
the level
only.
You could then write your
Mute
pass, for example, and change
the
Isolated
faders without the fader moves being either written
to or read from the
Mix
data.
When you then re-enable the
Level
automation, all faders moves
written prior to
Isolating
it will replay as before.
Performing an Isolate
Isolates
are performed by right-clicking the function on the
Write Enable
palette.
An
Isolated
switch/level is greyed and cannot be selected as
Write Enabled
.
A switch/level can be re-enabled by right clicking it again.
Isolating ALL Functions
All
Write Enables
can be
Isolated
by right-clicking on the
None
button. This greys out
ALL
enables. Similarly, right-clicking on the
ALL
button re-enables everything.
Note: Isolates
cannot be performed whilst a
Mix
is running. Any changes made during a
Mix
are implemented
ONLY
after a tape
Stop/Replay
cycle.
