Blend
The
Blend
parameter sets the time taken for a fader to return to a previously written
level.
For example, if a fader is dropped out of
Write
at a given timecode point and the
following level defined in the mix is disparate, it will take the
Blend
time to reach that
level.
Note:
This value is distinct from
X-Fade
times used in
Mix Processing
operations.
SEL (Select Switch)
Note:
This option depends upon the console type specified in the
DEF
files and generally
only appears if you
DO NOT
have a
9098i
console, since dedicated
Read/Write/Update
buttons exist by the channel faders.
SEL
is a selector switch located on each console channel which toggles between the
various automation modes. The
SEL
drop-down list offers several options which can
applied to the
SEL
switch. Each option defines a sequence of states for toggling.
For example:
Read-Update-Write
Read-Update
Read-Write
Touch-Write
When applied, the
SEL
switch sequentially toggles between the available states in a
circular fashion.
