AutoRead
The
AutoRead
drop-down list determines what happens to channel automation modes
when timecode stops.
No AutoRead
- no automation mode settings are altered when timecode is stopped. All
channels will retain their current modes.
AutoRead
- all channels are placed into
Read
mode when timecode stops.
AutoUpdate
- all channels are placed into
Update
mode when timecode stops.
AutoDisarm
- only channels that are armed for
Touch-Write
when timecode stops are
affected. Any fader armed for
Touch-Write
will be disarmed.
Both
- an
AutoRead
action and an
AutoDisarm
action are performed.
On Stop
The
On Stop
drop-down list determines how data is written to the
Mix
after timecode
stops.
When set to
Write to End
, the states of all automated switches and fader levels are
written for all higher timecode values up to 23:59:59:24.
When set to
Write to Next
, the settings for each automated element is written to each
higher timecode value until a previously recorded value is found.
When set to
Return to Mix
, nothing is written to any higher timecode value if a
Blend
is performed to the underlying
Mix
level.
Note:
In normal practice, use
Write to End
for the first pass, writing data throughout
the
Mix
. Use
Return to Mix
for subsequent passes and
Write to Next
to fill in gaps.
T/W (Touch-Write) Snap
The
T/W ) Snap
drop-down list determines what happens to the automation mode of a
channel that’s been put into
Touch-Write
, touched and then released.
When set to
Write
, any
Touch-Write
fader is kept in
Write
mode after it has been
released.
When set to
Read
, any
Touch-Write
fader is returned to
Read
mode after it has been
released.
When set to
Write-Disarm
, the fader is placed into
Write
and then it’s
Touch-Write
status is disarmed.
When set to
Read-Disarm
, a similar task is performed, putting the fader into
Read
before disarming the
Touch-Write
mode.
