Limiter
IN
Switches the device
On
/
Off
effectively providing a
Bypass
facility.
LINK
When pressed, this links the current channel to its
Link
partner.
Odd
numbered channels link to the channel to the right,
Even
numbered
channels
Link
to the channel to the left. No other
Linking
pairs can be
created.
KEY
This switch changes the
Side Chain Input
from the main audio path to
the
Key Input
(when fitted).
LFC
This switch incorporates a
Low Frequency Compensation
algorithm to
reduce repeated triggering when processing low frequency signals.
THRESHOLD
This control sets the level at which the
Limiter
is triggered.
RATIO
For true limiting action the
Ratio
should be set to maximum (
10:1
). The
lesser slopes provide an alternative form of compression.
ATTACK
This control sets the time it takes for the
Limiter
to reach full limiting.
HOLD
This control sets the time for the
Limiter
to stay at full compression,
before starting the
Release
period.
RELEASE
This control sets the time it takes for the
Limiter
to go back to no gain
reduction after the
Hold
period has elapsed.
GAIN
This control compensates for any loss of average signal level within the
Limiter
.
LIGHTMETERS
Two
Lightmeters
appear on the device.
I/P
displays the incoming signal,
G/R
displays the gain reduction being applied.
