The three column
Locate Points
display indicates the number and
SMPTE
timecode
position for any
Locate Point
that’s been created, along with a
Name/Comments
field.
If the
Lock Marker 1 To Title Start
option has been selected in the
Machine Control
screen of the options menu, the
SMPTE
time of
Locator 1
will always be the same as the
Title Start
time that you have set in the
Title Info
page.
The use of
Locate Points
obviates the need to enter lengthy timecode values for
Cues
, as
Locate Point
numbers can now be used.
The
Locate Points
are saved with the
Title
and are useful in
Mix Processing
, where they
are displayed by number as opposed to timecode values.
Note:
The
Up/Down
arrow keys can be used to navigate between the available
Locate
Points
and
Comments
fields and the cursor automatically moves to the
Comments
area
after defining a
Locate Point
.
Creating a Locate Point in the Locate Points List
1. Click into the
Hours
field of the required
Locate Point
line.
2. Type the new value and press
Enter
.
3. In a similar fashion, type the values for the
Minutes
,
Seconds
and
Frames
fields.
4. The new
Locate Point
timecode value is set.
5. Click into the
Name/Comments
field.
6. Type a name for your
Locate Point
and press
Enter
.
