Dropout Length
Supertrue’s Mix System
uses the cessation of timecode when in
Write
or
Update Mode
to determine the end of a
Mix
pass. A break in timecode caused by tape
Drop-outs
, for
instance, can result in an unwanted
“Stop"
condition occurring.
The
Drop-Out
length determines the tolerance that
Supertrue
has, expressed in
Frames
,
between receiving timecode information before interpreting that timecode has stopped.
The
Drop-Out
Length compensation ensures that the system can tolerate poorly replayed
timecode and continue in it’s current mode during these momentary breaks. The maximum
value for the
Drop-Out Length
facility is 12 frames.
