Timecode
All of
Supertrue’s
dynamic fader and switch automation data is referenced to timecode
and this window enables more in-depth control of how the system responds to this
timecode than the
Mix Window
’s simple
Internal/External Source
selection.
This control comprises options relating to hardware testing, timecode compensation,
timecode generation and
MIDI
timecode.
Test Hardware
Test Hardware
detects the presence and software revision of Amek’s
Timecode Reader
Generator
or
TRG
as it is more commonly referred to.
The
TRG
, as its name suggests, reads and generates
SMPTE/EBU
timecode under the
control of
Supertrue
and is also capable of simultaneously generating
MIDI Timecode
from either external or internally generated timecode.
When the
Timecode Settings
screen is selected, the software performs an automatic
detection test causing the screen to pause momentarily, then displays the results.
If the
TRG
is detected, the
TRG Present
indicator will display
Yes
and the appropriate
software revision number is displayed adjacent to the
Software Version
legend.
