Post-Roll
The
Post-Roll
value determines the length of time (in seconds) that will be subtracted from
the
Auto Record Drop-Out
point.
Changing the Post-Roll Value
1. Click into the
Post-Roll
field.
2. Type the new
Post-Roll
value and press
Enter
.
Rehearse
Clicking on the
Rehearse
button will locate the tape machine to the
Drop-In
timecode
position, minus the current
Pre-Roll
value. It will play the machine and then at the
Drop-In
timecode point, it will switch the input monitoring of any armed tracks to
external without activating the
Record
command.
This enables the
Auto Record
function to be rehearsed without actually erasing any
existing material on the external machine between the
Drop-In
and
Drop-Out
points.
When the
Drop-Out
timecode position is reached, the external machine will be stopped
and placed back into monitoring it’s own input, although any
Post-Roll
value will be added
to determine the actual stop point.
Note:
The precise operation of the
Rehearse
function is entirely dependent on the external
synchroniser and/or tape machine connected to your system. Please consult your local
Amek distributor to determine the exact functionality for your individual setup.
