Pre-Roll
The
Pre-Roll
value determines the length of time in seconds, that the externally controlled
machine will be played prior to the
drop-in
point.
A practical example would be using a
Pre-Roll
time of, for example, 10 seconds to enable a
vocalist to hear the previous line of a passage before the machine drops into record for the
new section.
Changing the Pre-Roll Value
1. Click into the
Pre-Roll
field.
2. Type the new
Pre-Roll
value and press
Enter
.
Post-Roll
The
Post-Roll
value determines the length of time in seconds, that the externally
controlled machine will be played after the
drop-out
point has been reached.
A practical example would be to have a
Post-Roll
time of, for example, 10 seconds to
enable you to hear the next line of a passage where a vocalist has replaced a line as
described for
Pre-Roll
. This might be helpful to evaluate the continuity of the sections.
Changing the Post-Roll Value
1. Click into the
Post-Roll
field.
2. Type the new
Post-Roll
value and press
Enter
.
Lock Marker 1 To Title Start
The
Lock Marker 1 To Title Start
function automatically places the
Title Start
time (set
in the
Title Info
page) into the contents of the
Locator 1
timecode position.
To Lock Marker 1 to Title Start
1. Click the checkbox next to
"Lock Marker 1 to Title Start"
.
2. A Green checkmark indicates the option is set.
3. Clicking the checkbox again will clear the option.
