Master Mute & Dim
The master
MUTE
and
DIM
switches in the lower left hand corner control both
NEARFIELD
and
MAIN
speaker outputs [Fig 1.3].
The
DIM
switch applies –20dBu to the signal gain structure.
Note:
If the internal oscillator or external master mute are operated, the
Master Mute
is
activated, flashing slowly. If the
Master Mute
is operated also, the speed of the flashing
increases.
Note:
If the speakers are in
CAL
mode,
DIM
will also activate the
Master Mute
.
Mix Fa
d
er & Inserts
Several switches are located to the left of the
Studio Level control. [Fig 1.5].
FADER > ST
This enables the main stereo
mix fader to control the main
Stereo Buss outputs.
Note:
When
NOT
selected,
the Stereo VCA is bypassed
with a fixed unity gain
applied to the main stereo
outputs.
FADER > WIDE
This switch is only used in surround applications and can be ignored in
Stereo
mode.
Insert
This switch enables the Stereo Buss insert point (8 wide for surround applications).
Note:
Unless the insert sends and returns are linked by an external device, it should
NOT
be
selected.
