Fa

ers Isolate
The
Faders Isolate
function is intended as a safety feature and
removes the automation computer from the system, placing the fader
control voltages directly onto the
VCA
elements.
Buss Trims
The 12 system wide multitrack busses are calibrated using these trimmers. These
should only be adjusted by qualified personnel.
Downmixing
Downmixing
should preferably be carried out within the
Encode/Decode System
as this provides
more control over
Downmix
parameters.
Downmixing
does not contain any
LFE
information,
therefore if this is required, it should be distributed within the front channels.
Downmixes
from
7.1
should
NOT
include any information from monitor inputs
Lc(7)
and
Rc(8)
,
these are therefore cut. For special effects,
Inputs 7-8
can be unmuted if necessary.
The following formats are provided, the default format being
Stereo
. All unnecessary input
sources and speakers are muted.
MONO
- puts a combined image of all available feeds for the format selected on the
C
speaker (or on
L+R
when normal stereo source is selected) - inputs
7-8
are cut. The default
for this switch is
OFF
.
STEREO
- puts a derived stereo image of all available feeds on
L&R
.
LCRS
- provides a derived
LCRS
image.
5.1
- provides a
5.1
image.
7.1
- sources
Lf
and
Rf
from the
Stereo Buss
and enables metering on the two aux
bargraphs (unless SOLO is pressed).
7.1
automatically enables the
NF2
(nearfield) monitors as the
Lf
and
Rf
outputs.
Pressing
NF1
provides a derived stereo on nearfield
NF1
.
6.1
can be monitored by selecting
7.1
and using a discrete signal on speaker
7
or
8
while muting
the unused path. Similar methods may be employed for other formats.
Monitoring in
DTS
format, necessitates re-patching of speakers and/or machine tracks.
The following capabilities are provided - the listening format should always be selected, then the
input cuts selected/deselected as appropriate.
