Format/Speaker Mute
Format
In this mode, the upper switches allow you to select operating
Formats
(stereo or multi-format), listen to a
Mono
blend of the current format
and apply a low pass
Filter
to the
Sub
speaker output.
The main
Speaker Formats
are selected from four
interlocking switches providing a choice between
Stereo
,
LCRS
,
5.1
or
7.1
operating modes.
Speaker Mute
In this mode, the lower switches mute the main speakers.
From left to right these are
Left
,
Centre
,
Right
,
LFE/S(ub)
,
LS
, and
RS
.
Note:
When different operating modes are selected, any
redundant speakers are muted automatically,
indicated by the switch LED.
Note:
In
7.1
mode, the
Nearfield
switches
NFL/LC
and
NFR/RC
become mutes for speakers
7&8
.
Note:
The
Master Mute
affects all speakers equally. When operated, the speaker mute switch
LEDs illuminate dimly and go bright when operated locally. Local mute conditions are
preserved and restored when using the
Master Mute
.
