Remote
Save
Remote
Save
is
a
file
hosting
facility where
each
individual
project
on
the DAW
is
expanded
to
include
a
DMS
Title
file
and
it’s
associated mix
files.
This
allows
the
operator
to
carry
out
a
session
at
a
DMS/DAW
equipped
suite
and
leave
the
studio with
a
single
disk
(typically Magneto Optical).
This
single media
contains
the
audio
data
and
it’s
EDL
(Edit Decision
List),
together with
a
DMS
Title
and
the
complete
console
setup
including
matrices
,
patching
,
outboard
equipment
and
automation
data
.
Synclock
Synclock
gives
simultaneous
and
transparent
dual-remote machine
control
from
the DMS
or
the DAW’s
transport
control
allowing
the
operator
to work
from
either
the
editor
or
the mixer.
Depending
upon
the
number
of machines
to
be
connected
to
the DMS,
this may
involve
an
external
sychronizer.
Autoevent
Autoevent
provides
Channel
and
Segment
information
interchange
between
the DAW
and
the DMS
using
the
EDL
.
There
are
two
benefits
from
this:
!
The
automation
data
on
the DMS
is
linked
to
the
editing
system
of
the DAW
so
that
any
segment which
is moved,
copi
ed
or
erased
will
be
displayed
on
the
Event
Editor
for
easier
off-line
editing
of
the mix
automation
data.
!
It
also
allows
event
information
from
the
DAW
to
be
displayed
automatically
in
real-
time
on
the DMS
control
surface
electronic
writing
strips
.
