Appendix G
How to re-introduce Automation to Elements you Disabled after
Creating a New Mix!
The safest way to do this is to save your mix, deselect everything where written data
exists in the
Write Enable Palette
, wind to the beginning, de-isolate the required
element(s) such as
EQ In
using the right-trackball button, then select the
On
Stop
mode as
Write To End
.
Roll the tape briefly to set the static positions of the new element(s), then
Write
any
changes you want in
Update
or
Write
.
It is safest to disable the
Write
function of these elements after writing the
changes/moves.
Appendix H
Channel Protection
To keep individual channels’ data
from accidental erasure,
Automation
,
Channel
Protect
allows you to put selected
channels into a locked
Read-Only
mode, regardless of the
Write
Enable Palette
settings and global
statuses.
This also prevents
Snapshot
recall
affecting any settngs. Simply
choose the channels from the list.
Those marked with a cross are
protected.
