Recall and Snapshots
All automatable control settings can be stored as
Snapshots
. All other controls on the
desk can be stored using the
Recall
system.
Virtual Dynamics
settings can be saved as
Snapshots
in a dedicated menu.
Recall
Select the
Recall
menu or press
Recall
. On the
Recall
page there is a
Link to
Snapshots
option and on the
Snapshots
page there is a
Link to VD Snapshots
option.
Select these if you want to make sure that every time a
Recall
is saved, all other desk
settings are also saved. All these memory settings are date and time referenced to avoid
confusion.
Caution: Setups
can have same name but different dates!
Note:
these are in memory only until a Title is saved.
To save a
Setup
: click
STORE
,
give it a name, when you press
Enter
the desk is scanned and
the save is finished when all the
Select
button lights have
gone out.
Tip:
Make a note of the
Write
Enable Palette’s
isolated settings,
because if you do a recall and do
not know which were isolated, you
may play back your Pass 1 settings
which will probably be wrong!
Alternatively, before saving the final version, write all unwritten functions by disabling
all that are not isolated, then run to the beginning, set
On Stop Write to End
and
un-isolate all isolated functions, use
Ctrl+W
and roll tape for a few seconds.
When
Recalling
, it is wise to recall the snapshot again after resetting the desk in case
you’ve inadvertently changed any automated switches.
Auto Search
is the quickest
way to put the desk back, as it will skip channels that are correctly set. There are filters
for different sections of channels if you only want, say, the EQs.
